Named after the designer of the city, Pierre Charles L'Enfant, this plaza is one of Washington's paved square, dedicated in 1968 as part of the urban renewal of the city. A central garden provides a touch of nature amid office buildings and the elegant Loews L'Enfant Plaza. An underground mall has shopping and restaurants. The plaza is conveniently close to the National Mall and the Smithsonian Museum, and the International Spy Museum. This recently renovated mall is also near the metro giving you easy access to a world of shopping, dining and entertainment.
